Creation and Integration with Webster City Middle School

Friday our team was invited to Webster City Middle School for a day of professional learning and fun (our agenda). Complete with a “playground” in the morning, focus on assistive technology, hands-on creation, and lots of STEM connections!

After a morning spent playing with a MakeyMakey, iMotion, Augmented Reality, 3Doodler, and Lego Mindstorm robots, our two groups split into a math/science focused group and a humanities focused group, working on ideas for ALL students – with an emphasis on assistive technology – to showcase learning through presentations, photography, and videography. The math/science group also explored the Defined STEM program, and spent a chunk of the afternoon applying for scale-up grants through the Governor’s STEM initiative. Thank you to Webster City Middle School for being awesome hosts and active learners!
