My favorite iPad apps are applications with limitless possibility-utilization that transcends age, stage, and content. Educreations, an interactive whiteboard app, allows the creator to record and publish the screencast. A user can also view other published screencasts. Whether students are explaining the parts of a cell, or making their process transparent when solving an equation, students are able to share their “think aloud”. As a former English teacher, I see Educreations and similar screencasting apps as an opportunity for students to narrate, to illustrate, and to publish their writing. Of course, there are apps for that, too.
