Brain Breaks

Brain Breaks

Sometimes, we need to refocus. Sometimes, we need to shift focus. Sometimes, we need to focus. Recently, a member of my PLN tweeted asking for resources and ideas for brain breaks. I shared a few of my favorites just as I am with you!

GoNoodle: Calm the classroom or energize your students depending on the time of the day.

Snaps: Stand in a circle. One person begins to snap and throws it to another like a ball. The snap is caught. Snaps are tossed around the circle. Be creative with the throw and with the catch!

AirPano: Take a tour of a beautiful waterfall. Stand on top of a mountain. The view of beautiful spots around the world is calming!

Laughing game: Laugh ridiculously. Spread it! Each person should laugh in the strangest, silliest manner. Until everyone is actually laughing at each other and themselves.

Dance: Use short clips to get students moving!

GoNoodle: Zumba is one of the many options!
