Last week, I was fortunate to attend and present at TICL in Storm Lake, Iowa. The collaborative efforts of Northwest AEA and Prairie Lakes AEA converge to create a three day conference on Buena Vista University’s beautiful campus. I appreciated the enthusiasm of keynote Tony Vincent, and the humor of Michael Gorman as well as the passion of Mark Coppin. I also cherished the time I spent reconnecting with friends, meeting members of my PLN face to face for the first time, and making new connections. Thank you to everyone at NWAEA and PLAEA who made for a wonderful conference. You can find all TICL session resources HERE.
What I shared…
Connecting Creativity: Leslie Pralle Keehn and I shared an overview of our monthly designs. We also lead the group through a collaborative poetry effort with the Out My Window quest.
Visible Thinking-Photography: I shared the power of image in learning. I also supported time for creating using various design tools. Participants shared their creations via social media.
Play. Create. Plan.: I showed three iPad apps, session goers had time to create, and then we brainstormed classroom uses.
